About Our Authors
Stories are always more than the work of one author. In our
case, the Maggie-Della mysteries owe their lives to the
inspiration of a number of people throughout the country. The
main writer, Margy Rydzynski (using the pen name of Margaret
Daniels), lives in Boston and is an internet-based business
owner and computer consultant.
She's been helped from the very outset by Rose Milholland of
Baltimore, Maryland, the inspiration for the fictional character
Della Peterson. Like Della, Rosie also has RP.
Margy met Dan Huhn, another blind writer, through an RP social
group. Dan lives in Missouri with his wife Nancy (Skylar Lloyd in
the stories) and guide dog, Webster (Sampson in the stories).
Dan is the inspiration for the blind head of computer systems at
Boston City Hall, Dan Sexton.
Rosie and Margy have known Deb Galbreath (Smokey Miller, a
battered womens shelter volunteer and paramedic) and Angela
Umbrello (Marcella Sasso, a Boston-based forensic scientist) for
a while now, via a Yahoo! user group for a television series we
all watch.
